TWIC certified drivers
Our drivers have TWIC cards, which is a federal identification card that allows our operators to enter ports in the United States to load and/or unload.
Operators with these cards are classified as trustworthy by US border agents as the card grants them free, unsupervised access to load/unload in restricted areas under US Coast Guard regulations.
CTPAT Facility
Laredo Transport & Storage Inc., is committed to working with the US government in its war against terrorism by becoming a CTPAT partner. As a result, CBP grants us a reduced number of CBP screenings, first-line inspections, and shorter-than-usual wait times at the border, helping us get to our final destination faster than our competition.
FAST Certified
The Free and Secure Trade (FAST) program is a commercial clearance program for known low-risk shipments entering the United States from Canada and Mexico. This innovative trusted traveler/shipper program allows expedited processing for commercial carriers who have completed background checks and fulfill certain eligibility requirements. The FAST certification allows our drivers to cross borders through a quicker designated lane at all commercial ports of entry.
Bonded Carrier
Being a bonded carrier is beneficial because it facilitates the flow of goods through any port of entry into other countries without having to pay duties on the shipment. This allows the product to make it to its final location more quickly and efficiently. Bonded freights are moved inland and can either be released after paying duties within the country or continue toward another country for import.
